Privacy Policy
IFQ Quest is an independent study companion for the CISI Islamic Finance Qualification. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by CISI.
Summary
IFQ Quest core study content, practice, review and mock flows work without sign-in. Study progress is stored on your device first. Online features may send data to IFQ Quest services, including account sync, support requests, privacy requests, anonymous learning analytics, community leaderboards, and first-launch activation.
Data We May Collect
- Account details such as email address, Google subject ID, display name, and study preferences.
- Learning data such as lesson progress, quiz history, bookmarks, notes, XP, streaks, and review data.
- Support, privacy, and deletion request messages plus contact email and technical request details.
- Optional analytics events, leaderboard entries, and anonymous activation records.
Data We Do Not Intentionally Collect
- Payment information.
- Contacts, precise location, photos, videos, audio files, calendar data, or health data.
- Advertising identifiers.
- Google access tokens.
Local Storage
Most study data is stored on your device first. This includes progress, lesson completion, bookmarks, notes, saved glossary terms, mock history, review scheduling, confidence marks, preferences, reminders, and local backup data.
Account session tokens are stored separately using secure device storage where available. They are excluded from app state, backups, telemetry, logs, and sync payloads.
Account Sync
Sign-in is optional and used for account sync. Your learning data may be backed up to your IFQ Quest account so it can be restored on another device. Sync is intended to include learning data only, not full app state, auth tokens, debug flags, telemetry queues, or internal logs.
Use and Sharing
We use data to provide study features, sync progress, respond to support and privacy requests, operate the service, prevent abuse, and improve app quality. We do not sell personal data.
We may use service providers for hosting, email delivery, database, support, or infrastructure operations. Community leaderboard entries may be visible to other users if you choose to submit a challenge score.
Retention
Local data remains on your device until you reset progress, clear app storage, uninstall the app, or replace it by importing a backup.
Support and privacy request records are normally retained for up to 24 months. Server logs and security records are normally retained for up to 90 days unless needed longer for legal, security, fraud-prevention, abuse-prevention, or dispute reasons.
Account Deletion
Signed-in users can request account deletion inside the app. When deletion succeeds, IFQ Quest deletes the sync account, linked Google subject ID or other account-provider identifiers, active sessions, synced progress, and account-linked support tickets.
You can also request deletion from the public account deletion page. Local study progress on your device remains unless you reset it, clear app storage, or uninstall the app.
Open account deletionChildren's Privacy
IFQ Quest is intended for adult and professional exam preparation and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13, or under the minimum age required by local law.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date or last updated date and publish the revised policy on this page.
